Vaccination drive at 13 govt health centres in Panchkula today, Health News, ET HealthWorld

PANCHKULA: On Thursday, 94 health workers out of the registered 190 were inoculated at two private health centres in Panchkula district. Vaccination drive will be carried out at 13 government health centres in the district on Friday with a target of 100 doses at each centre. No vaccination was done at any government health centre on Thursday.

District immunization officer Dr. Meenu Sasan said two private hospitals in Panchkula had jabbed 94 health workers, achieving 49.5% target. Sasan added that till now, a total of 2,922 health workers had been jabbed with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination in the district, making overall achievement to 60.4% so far.

She further stated that the 13 health centres for Friday are community health centre (CHC) Raipur Rani; primary health centres (PHC) at Barwala, Hangola, Kot, Old Panchkula, Surajpur, Pinjore, Nanakpur and Morni; NHM Panchkula; sub-civil hospital Kalka; civil dispensary at Sector 7; and civil hospital in Sector 6 with a target of 1,300 vaccinations to the health workers.

In the first phase, 6,219 (3,541 government and 2,678 private) registered medical workers, including those of Command Hospital and ITBP, will be inoculated while in the second phase, officers and frontline workers will be jabbed. People above 50 years will get the vaccine in the third phase and those less than 50 years in age, but suffering from some disease, will be covered in the fourth phase.
